Elevate your mood


The number one oil on most people's list is Lavender. Lavender essential oil is full of benefits, including being able to boost your mood and enhance your productivity. Although Lavender is a very good choice it is not the only mood boosting essential oil. A few more oils that can be added to the list (if you don't already use them) are Bergamot, Orange, Lemon, Roman Chamomile, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver, Cedarwood and Frankincense.



Citrus Oils like Bergamot, Lemon and Orange are great for morning use. All three of these oils are uplifting and can help you begin your day on a positive note.

Roman Chamomile is great for soothing emotions, calming nerves and relaxing. This would be a good oil to use before bed.

Peppermint increases alertness and improves concentration and attitude.

Ylang Ylang is another good essential oil to use at bedtime as it is a calming and relaxing sedative that may help with anger control. Vetiver helps with stress and anxiety and is grounding.

Cedarwood calms nervous tension and is another sedative.

Frankincense creates inner peace by balancing emotions and easing your irritability.


You are not limited to these Essential Oils there are so many choices to help you elevate your mood. These oils can be use in a diffuser by adding 3-6 drops to water, or in a bath (please dilute in a carrier oil like jojoba , almond, coconut or Argan oil before adding to your bath.) They may also be used directly on the skin after diluting. You can combine to create a blend to enhance your benefits. Before blending check to see which oils pair well for your ailment. Not all oils need to be diluted but it is a safe practice.
